Owner Biography

Vincent D’Avena
Master of Science in Environmental Sciences

After receiving his Master’s degree from The Johns Hopkins University, Vincent spent nearly a decade as IT business consultant designing and implementing improvements on existing business systems, making them more efficient and more functional.

In the background, however, Vincent’s other love continued to draw his time and energy; he has always loved to design, build, and renovate, and spent weekends doing small jobs. As the building boom grew, he began to pursue his passion more consistently, remodeling more and more kitchens, baths and basements.

As he moved his hobby to a professional level, Vincent became aware of the level of waste involved in most construction projects. The years of creating efficient systems began to infiltrate his building practices and overtime both of these merged with his deep insight into environmental sciences.

The natural evolution happened: A.V. Remodeling & Construction was founded in 2004 and represents both the dreams and the aspirations of a man who believes we can build efficiently and responsibly.

Today, A.V. Remodeling & Construction is an award-winning design build and construction firm located in McLean, Virginia. Vincent’s passion draws other passionate people to the company, and this has formed our company’s culture.
